Jellycat care instructions
Unless otherwise stated on the sew-in fabric Jellycat label (usually located on the bottom of your Jellycat stuffed toy), Jellycat recommend that you surface wash only, using mild (non-toxic) soap and rinsing clean with cold water. To help return the fur on your stuffed toy to its former glory, it can then be carefully dried with a hair dryer using little or no heat. (If you hang the toy on the washing line to dry instead of using a hair dryer you may find that the fur becomes stiff. Using a hair dryer on a cool setting helps to separate and fluff the fur fibers, reducing this stiffness). Some Jellycat plush toy products such as soothers and comforters are suitable for a cool machine wash - please always check the sew-in label.
For significant soiling incidents (that can not be resolved with surface washing), a gentle machine wash on a cool setting may be necessary. In this instance we recommend placing your Jellycat in a hosiery bag before putting in the washing machine. To help return the fur on your stuffed toy to its former glory after washing, it can then be carefully dried with a hair dryer using little or no heat to separate the fur fibers. The toy should then be hung for several days to completely air dry.
Please note that machine washing is a last resort cleaning option and not part of the manufactures care instructions or product warranty (unless otherwise stated on the sewn-in label).
