Return Guide

We understand that sometimes returning an item becomes necessary. This Return Guide has been carefully collated to help make your return experience as seamless as possible, so that your repair/ replacement/ refund or credit can be resolved as soon as possible.

Change of Mind Return

We offer a 30-day return policy for un-used items in their original condition and packaging, with all retail tags still attached.

Change of Mind Return Exclusions:
  • Item has been used
  • Item has been damaged or missing parts
  • Retail packaging not in its original condition
  • Retail tags have been removed
  • Return initiated more than 30 days from receipt
  • Sale or clearance items
  • Not purchased from Send A Toy
  • Proof of purchased cannot be provided
  • Gift vouchers (not eligible for return)
  • Greeting cards and gift tags (not eligible for return)
Change of Mind Return Process:
Follow these steps:
  1. Verify your item is eligible by checking our Change of Mind Return Exclusions list.
  2. Pack your return securely to prevent damage during transit (damaged returns due to poor packaging will be rejected).
  3. Include your order receipt or write your order number and phone number.
  4. Mail to: Send A Toy, PO Box 2043, Magill North SA 5072
Important notes:
  • We recommend using a traceable shipping service as we cannot guarantee receipt of your return.
  • Lost returns will not be refunded.
  • All returns are inspected upon arrival.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5 business days to your original payment method.
Change of Mind Return Shipping:

Return shipping costs are your responsibility. Please ensure items are properly packaged to prevent damage during transit.

Return Processing:

Returns are inspected upon arrival to verify they meet our criteria. Refunds are issued within 5 business days to your original payment method, with email confirmation.

Non-refundable Items: 

• Postage charges

• Used gift cards

• Gift vouchers

Shipping Adjustments: 

• If your order shipped free and your return drops the order total below our free threshold, $9.95 shipping will be deducted from your refund

• For complete returns of free shipping orders, our actual incurred shipping costs will be deducted.

Include your receipt (or order number and phone number) and pack items securely. Returns damaged due to inadequate packaging will not be accepted.

Lost change of mind returns:

We cannot guarantee receipt of your return. If your package is lost in transit, no refund will be issued. For your protection, we strongly recommend using a traceable shipping service.

Sale Item Return

Returns are only accepted for full-priced items. Sale or clearance purchases cannot be returned unless faulty or not as described. For defective items, please see our 'Faulty Returns' section for instructions.

Faulty Item Return

For a faulty item return please follow the procedure below.

Faulty Item Return Procedure:

Please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Send A Toy account.
  2. Select the specific order for the item you wish to return, then select the REQUEST RETURN button.
  3. Select 'Damaged or defective' from the 'Reason' drop-down list.
  4. Submit the request.
  5. Wait for us to get back to you with the REPLY PAID return label and instructions on how to proceed.
  6. If we do not respond within 3 business days, please reach out to us to ensure we received your request.

Fauty Returns Processing:
  • Returned items will be inspected. If confirmed faulty, we will provide repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
  • If damage is determined to be non-manufacturing related (accidental damage, abnormal use, incorrect use, or misuse), no repair, replacement, credit, or refund will be offered. You will be responsible for return postage if you want the item sent back to you.
Faulty Item Return Shipping:

We cover return shipping costs for genuinely faulty items. Please contact us before returning to arrange this.

Lost Faulty Returns:

We cannot guarantee receipt of your return. When using our Reply-Paid Return address for faulty items, you must obtain a parcel lodgment receipt (proof of postage) from the post office. This receipt is required to be eligible for a refund if your faulty return is lost in transit.

Faulty Sale Items:

No returns accepted for sale items where faults were clearly disclosed in the product description and contributed to the price reduction.

If a faulty sale item sustains additional damage through your misuse, abnormal use, or accidental damage, Send A Toy will not provide a refund, exchange, credit, or repair.

Gift Returns

We offer store credits in the form of an electronic gift card for gift returns, not refunds.

Gift Return Exclusions:

Gifts cannot be returned when:

  • item has been used
  • item is not in original condition
  • Retail packaging not in original condition
  • Retail tags removed
  • Retail packaging removed
  • Return initiated outside of return period
  • Clearance or sale items
  • Not purchased from Send A Toy
  • Gift vouchers (exempt from return)
  • Greeting cards and gift tags (exempt from return)
Proof of Purchase:

To process your gift return, please include your gift receipt. Contact us if you need help locating your gift receipt information.

Gift Return Process:
  1. Check our Gift Return Exclusions list for eligibility
  2. Pack your return securely to prevent transit damage (damaged returns due to poor packaging will be rejected)
  3. Include your phone number and gift receipt with your return. (Contact us if you require assistance to locate your gift receipt).

Important Notes:

  • Lost returns will not be refunded
  • Returns are inspected upon arrival
  • Store credit will be emailed within 7 business days of approval.
Postage Costs:

You will be responsible for all associated costs of returning the gift to us.

Lost Returns:

We do not guarantee that we will receive your return. In the event your gift return is lost in transit a refund will not be provided. Therefore, we recommend using a traceable Return Postage Service for peace of mind.

Gift Return Refund:

We do not offer refunds for gift returns.  Instead, you will be issued a store credit in the form of an electronic gift card.

Please include (with the return) the email address that you would like to have the gift card issued to.

Incorrect Items:

Despite our best efforts to ensure accuracy, occasional picking errors or product description mistakes may occur. If you receive an incorrect item, please contact us promptly to arrange an exchange.

Incorrect item return Procedure:

Please follow these steps:

  • Log in to your Send A Toy account.
  • Select the order containing the item you wish to return
  • Select the REQUEST RETURN button.
  • Select 'Received the wrong item' from the 'Reason' drop-down list.
  • Submit the return request.
  • We will contact you within 3 business days with a REPLY PAID return label and instructions on how to proceed.
Postage Costs:

Send A Toy will be responsible for the return postage charges and subsequent postage to supply the correct item.
